NatWest CricketForce Day here at Spofforth will take place Saturday 6th April commencing at 9.00am. Whilst once again there are no major projects planned there will be plenty to do to get the ground and facillities into shape for the start of the season. We hope that as many of you as possible will be able to spare an hour or two during the course of the day to help – players both senior and junior, junior parents and friends will be most welcome.
You will be fed and watered throughout the day and your support will be greatly appreciated. As last year we hope to have the support of staff and volunteers from NatWest to assist with the tasks.

Congratulations to Treasurer and long time club stalwart, Terry Kavanagh, who has this week picked up a Service to Sport Award at the Harrogate District Sports Council annual dinner and awards ceremony. The award recognises Terry’s outstanding commitment and contribution to the sport of cricket.
Terry has been a member of Spofforth CC since the very early 1950’s and was the first captain of a Spofforth Junior Team when he led the U16’s to championship victory in 1953. He went on to captain the 1st XI for many years in the 1960’s and 70’s winning numerous trophies during his spell in charge, he later led the 2nd XI for a number of years.
In addition to his playing Terry has held various positions within the management of the club and continues to this day in his invaluable role managing the finances of the club as Treasurer.
Once again Terry well done, this award is very well deserved!!
